Listening to the Australian Craft Brewer podcast, they talked about the Sed-Ex Brodie as a way to harvest yeast from bottles, never mind produce yeast-free bottle-conditioned beer. I had never seen or heard of anything like this:
Sed-Ex Brewing, Home brewing, Home brew supplies
Major limitation is that it has to use twist-off bottles....

Cool idea, except it pretty much defeats the purpose to only use twist-offs. When was the last time you had a bottle conditioned beer that was twistoff? I'm sure there are some inventives types around here that could figure out some type of conversion.

Seems like an expensive waste of money, when a shoulder pour is just as effective...

Hm, I searched. I'll search again. Yeah, they're expensive, and probably unwieldy, but it seems so... trick.
