We just tried several varieties of Meade from B Nector at the home brew club hosted at the GasLight Brewery in South Orange NJ.

Very nice taste.
What was interesting to me was how each of the different honeys had a very different flavor.

Its always nice to try something new :) :fro:

I have never even tried one. Only two places I know to get it it costs around 30 bucks for a glass. :(

Yea.... it is at flying saucer and the other bar owned by the same dude. Prices are fairly reasonable on the rest of their beer. Dunno what is up with it.

We have a flying saucer bar in downtown ft worth and it's a nice place great atmosphere but man the beers are on the pricy side I know they serve a few meads but some of them are like Chaucer's mead and made from a dry white grape wine and back sweetened with honey and labeled as mead I'm not a fan but it does the trick I guess

Holy crap, no wonder you're "hoppin mad" :D
Seriously though, you can order mead online & the entire bottle will cost you less than a glass at this flying saucer place. Maybe it's the flying saucer cuz their prices are out of this world?
Here are a couple of online meaderies that have had favourable reviews:
