Can you gravity feed a Blichmann Hop Rocket?

I was thinking at Flame Out, I'd like to flow my hot wort through the Hop ROcket and into another vessel with an immersion wort chiller. Does anybody see any problems with this?

Yes you can. I suggest laying it on its side so that you have a constant downward flow. I did this for a while until my upgrade to a pump. Is a little challenging..but can be done.

I've used mine twice already. I kept mine upright and it worked great. As long as each level of transfer is lower than the next, you should be fine. I recommend adding a filter to the outlet valve inside your kettle. Especially if you are using whole hops in your boil.

Right on. Thanks! Can't wait to start playing with it!

Why use the HopRocket if you are using an immersion chiller anyway? Why not just throw the hops in the kettle at flame out and then chill there?
