has anyone compared farmhouse's Camlocks http://www.farmhousebrewingsupply.com/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=57 to Bargain Fitting's
http://www.bargainfittings.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=51 ?
the Farmhouse version looks like it is wider on the hose barbs

"Hose barbs? Hose barbs? We no need no steenkeeng hose barbs!" ;)

You can shove 1/2" ID thickwall silicone tubing up onto the threads of a 1/2" ID fitting and skip the barbs...

Cheers!

this was brought up before and it had to do with stock images or something like that. However as day trippr pointed out you should buy the threaded ones. 1/2 silicone tubing fits like a glove and it eliminates the reduced inner diameter of the hose barbs.

Our photo is the actual product.

If that hose barb is as wide as the 1/2" Camlock male side it would not be a 1/2" Hose barb.

You can do as others have noted and stretch silicone tubing over a 1/2" Male NPT threaded side of a fitting.
