I will be of absolutely zero help with your question, but it's always nice to see another Kyle on the forum.

Hey all,

Had a quick question about an auto sparge.

I found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2-Stainless-steel-floating-ball-valve-tank-cistern-float-valve-/110930711010?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19d3fc51e2

And wasn't sure if anyone has used this instead of the bilchmann auto?

I am on the fence weather to use an auto sparge or a fly sparge with my new Brutus system. ( I am sure there are plenty of debates on this topic)

Any help is appreciated!

Kyle

Kyles,

I built a simple Hartford loop like this guy: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/my...mash-lauter-tun-92724/index3.html#post1011236. It is just a copper tee with extensions. Wort goes through silicone tubing, in the bottom, and out the side. It was easy to make and very effective. Just raise and lower the side where the wort goes out to adjust the mash tun water level

More to your question, that looks about identical to me.
