started watching the series "psych" over the weekend and found it amusing enough to watch the first season :mug:

I'm not a fan of detective/cop shows but Psych is actually kinda funny.

White Collar is probably the best followed by Psych/Criminal Minds tied.

My friend made me watch a movie called Old Boy. It was kinda weird at first, but I actually enjoyed it..

Religulous was an interesting look (slightly agnostic leaning) at christianity....OPEN MIND A MUST

Forks over Knives was the most significant nutritional information I have ever recieved. LIFE CHANGING.

Lost me man.

Goon was accessible to everyone.

Puck hogs required at least a general knowledge of hockey. Sorry.

If you have ever played a team sport. You should find it funny

Puck hogs is a must

Eddie is going to be on the team

I have played on teams, lol.....the humor was just a little too canadian and predictable.....you presumption that I SHOULD find it funny is actually funnier that that movie.

Sorry.

Sorry.

There is an ass for each type of seat. Lol. I guess since I play hockey it was funny to me. I've played with a guy that had a gear bag like eddies

Don't get me wrong I wish I had played hocky, but I bet that is the difference.

It was funny, just didn't grab me.

EXORCISMUS - 5 stars, scary as hell!!!!!!!

The actress is AWESOME. Made me scared of the dark for a minute, lol.

If it hasn't been said, Dale and Tucker vs. Evil.

Watched it the other night, very entertaining horror/comedy.

YELLOWBRICKROAD - Awesome. Not mind blowing, but a GOOD solid, well acted, original, movie. Clever and different. Need more of these out there.

I'll check it out.

Just finished Workaholics. It's entertaining.

I almost clicked that last night!!

Do you find the STAR rating on netflix to be incredibly accurate? Not 100%, but I realized last night that I was flipping through HORROR and only really even looking at the titles with at least 3.75 stars or more.

That's why I remember workaholics...4.2 stars or so.

Looks like they just put Immortals on streaming/instant. Good movie.

I started it and really got bored. Not arguing with you, just wondering what was good.

Maybe I didn't stick with it long enough?

On mainstream yes, but with horror and scifi no. I don't know if people who don't like those genres are watching then reviewing, but they always seem to be super lo rated.

Of course they always have been.

Actually the ratings are supposed to be tailored.

I rate every movie and it is like pandora, rating and recommending based on what you like.

Rather than start a WHAT NOT TO WATCH NETFLIX......

***** SLAPPED.

Never would have thought that I would have to fast forward past long slow shots of hot women in short skirts.........trying to be a cross between sin city and a poorly done porno...nearly unwatchable.

Blood.

If you're into sword fights and odd Japanese violence.

That's one of the reasons I so rarely rent or spend money on movies. You never know how long it will be till it's on Netflix.

I no longer own a cd player, dvd player, or blu ray or anything else for that matter.

Streaming be it Netflix, Pandora, or the next great thing is the way to go.

GOTTA have a song right now youtube it.

GONE was a good movie.

There was a serious stand up and cheer moment.....(don't want to spoil it)
VERY RARE for me. I am quite cynical.

They still haven't added any new Walking dead or Sons Of Anarchy.

+1 for Workaholics.

It's great when you don't want to commit to a whole movie, but can do with ~22 minutes of comedy.

Grooveshark would suit you well then.

This has probably been mentioned already, but Breaking Bad is one of the best TV series I have seen.

Also there are some good wilderness/ survival documentaries and shows worth watching. Man, Woman, Wild; Survivorman; Man vs Wild ...etc

Watch IP Man and IP Man 2 if you like martial arts stuff.

I use Netflix to watch more tv shows that movies. A few that you may or may not have heard of:

Survivors.
Sleeper Cell
Party Down
MI-5
This American Life
Hustle
Special Ops Mission
Kidnapped
The Kill Point
Intelligence
The Pillars of the Earth
Sherlock
Jekyll
The Colony

They still haven't added any new Walking dead

Tell me about it. :( Got hooked on this at a friend's house last Thanksgiving, only to be put in a holding pattern on it.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, we also checked out 'Thankskilling'.

Hilarious, in the same genre of 'Nailgun Massacre', if you've ever seen it. Scenes are a bit scary, albeit for odd Foley sounds, or odd visual approach (in the name of 'Nailgun Massacre' a weird 'phut-phut' sound from the nailgun that doesn't match what one would imagine a nailgun actually emits). I.E. a fake turkey with a somewhat garish beak, making snarky comments or outrageous physical contact with characters... good for a laugh and occasional drunken cringe. :)

Checkout Survivors its kinda like the BBC's version of Walking Dead. At times I actually think it was better but to each their own. If nothing else it may get you over the hump until Netflix adds the next season.

Thank you for that. My wife and I have been looking for a good zombie series to check out while Walking Dead makes us wait.

You, my good sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

Thanks for the info, I will be checking this out soon!
