Check out Heartland brewery, food is great and the Farmer Johns oatmeal stout is awesome!!
Yes, and $5-$10 for a diet Cuba Libre (hold the rum, hold the lime).
Look up the ginger man. Its a beer bar that I used to go to often when I lived there. It's around 37th and 5th ave. over 100 taps and dozens of bottles. When I used to go (4-5 years ago) it got very busy toward 6-7 for after work crowd but its worth checking out if you're in the area.

take the train over to brooklyn brewery, also the Rattle N Hum is a pretty sweet beer bar there in the general mid town area
