So anybody had any luck with figuring out a trick to put new feet on corny lids? I have already broken 1 that I paid for and now I have two that were given to me so if I break one I'm okay but I would prefer not to if you know what I mean.

Are we talking about the little rubber condom things that go on the end of the locking mechanism?

If so, I used a toy barbie boot on one of my cornies.
 
I bought some that were way to small, impossible to get on! I found a drill bit that was a tad bigger than the hole and reamed it by HAND, don't try with a drill. It was a tedious, suck ass project.
 
Bring a small pot of water to a boil and drop them in long enough to soften them slightly. Then while they are still warm fish them out with a spoon and push them onto the lid.
 
I tried boiling and wd-40 and every other trick. Physically enlarging the hole is the only thing that worked.
