We are in the midst of a hellacious rainstorm and the sump pump just cant handle the volume. I have an additional pump that I keep around to should I have a failure. It is running as well. :(

I have 8 inches of water in the playroom. :(

I probably do not have flood ins. so it is a total loss.

I'm so bummed.
 
Beer cold.

I'm in southwest Connecticut.

Water level dropping.

Buzz increasing. Started with 3 fingers of Glenmorangie and am on my third HB in an hour.

From what I understand, you don't need flood insurance unless you're located on a flood plane ... otherwise it would be a normal part of your insurance. You should definitely check.
