Hi, I'm kinda new here.
Right now I have a 5 gallon of prickly pear mead fermenting and I wanted to add some kind of twist to it. I have heard of people adding oak cubes and whatnot to give it a more interesting flavor. I was curious if I could toast my own mesquite cubes or if that would be weird. My honey is mesquite as well so I am not sure if that would be too much or complement it well.

Thanks! :)

That is an interesting question, and I'll be curious to hear how it turns out; could be great!
