A week after bottling, I chilled one of my bottles, poured all but the last 1/4 inch of it into a glass, and I enjoyed my very first beer. It was GREAT! Clean tasting, not too hoppy (even though it's a SNPA clone) and NO off flavors at all. It'll condition for another week, so it'll probably taste even better then. It still tastes a little "sweet" due to there probably being some unfermented sugar left, but so far I am very happy. Thanks to everyone here for the good advice.

Edit: Wow, this beer only has 6.0% alcohol per volume? I'm "feeling it" after one beer. That hardly ever happens. An added bonus, I guess!

When I bottled it, I drank half a bottle simply because there wasn't enough left for a full bottle, and I had some pretty serious stomach cramps later than evening. I guess it was the yeast...

A week later, I'm not really feeling any cramps or gas. . Even if I do, it's worth it... my beer tastes good.

Congrats on the batch !

Wait until you discover that odd bottle which you forgot, which has been sitting on the shelf for 6 weeks...

If you think 2 weeks tastes good, just wait a bit
