Entering this into a competition. 1.081 OG down to 1.023 FG.
3 gallon batch size.


8 lbs marris otter
5 oz crystal 40
4 oz aromatic
4 oz special b
3 oz victory
1 oz roasted barley
.75 oz northern brewer 60 minutes
 
Looks great. Which yeast did you use? How do you like 3 gallon batches? I've been considering doing some 3's as all 5 of my kegs are full but I'm itching to brew...

I used WLP028 Edinburgh yeast fermented at 65 for 28 days. I actually did it just to brew. Weather was crappy etc, etc. it turned out real well. It wasn't the first I've done in 3 gallon batches. Did a bitter brown and really nailed my target numbers so it kinda seemed like a no brainer. Just a little more control I think. Not too sure lol, could all be a fluke.
