Christmas has come and gone, now time to hook myself up!!
Looking for a stout faucet, Beer Gas (Nitrogen) Tank and CO2 Regulator to Nitrogen Tank Adapter (http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=140).
I found a stout faucet on ebay that appears to be a good deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stout-Guinn...440?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b54f7da8

Just checking here first to see if:
a) anyone has any of the above available
b) if anyone has purchased a stout faucet from ebay and what you thought of it

Cheers and Hoppy New Year!

Don't buy a tank If you don't have a place to fill the tank. You should 1st check your local AirGas.. They don't fill mixed-gas 75Nit/25co2 at local shops they ship them out to fill( I was told). He liked the idea that I brew my own beer. Long story short.. I have a full 15lb tank of mixed gas for $100.00 + he threw in the co2-regulter adapter..Was told the gas alone is $45.00 . And adapter was $30.00. So try them 1st

And same faucet for less...

The Ritebrew faucet is a Krome brand (confirmed by email). Lots of mixed reviews on the forums, but for $37.... Hmmm. It looks like most of the faucets out there now are these.

I too am looking, but am considering stainlessbrewing.com He claims his are all stainless. Looks different than the Krome version

I have two SS Stout faucets that I do not use. They were purchased from kegcowboy if you want to reference the faucet. I believe it's the same one you're looking at.

I happen to prefer Perlick so I don't use either anymore. Could part with one or both if you are interested.

Can't thank everyone enough for the feedback posted. Still trying to track a place down near me that will fill a tank. I'm looking to get a smaller tank to fit in my fridge, so can't do the swap most places offer. If I find a place, I'm definitely interested in a faucet, but don't hold for me.

Cheers!

To be honest you don't necessarily need to use beer gas or nitro. The creamy head is all due to the faucet itself, not the gas it's pushed with. Nitro or beer gas is used due to the need of a higher psi needed to push beer through the faucet. The faucet is 100% responsible for the effect not the gas used.

I used to run on beer gas, but alternately you could run 100% nitro if you carb the beer first then switch to nitro to push beer through your facuet. 100% nitro is easier to find and refill a tank.

Also, you could do like I did in the end. Just run system on CO2. When you want to pour a beer, dial up pressure on your regulator to 25-30 psi, pour beer and then dial the pressure back down to where you normally serve at so beer does not become over carbed. Also be sure to blead off excess pressure on the keg.

Looking at the USPS website I would guess a small flat rate box (8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8") would do the trick for $5.35 Also if you could fit both in there I have a friend that may be interested in the other one. Any chance I could get a picture of the faucets?

Yes, they should be able to fit in the small flat rate box, so that will work.

As far as the other faucet I think FunkytownBrewyard was interested in one as well. If he isn't interested you could have both.

I'll try to PM a pic later tonight.

It's easier to just post the pic in here. Sorry for the thread highjack.

Trippelx, what brand are they? Pic is tiny, so cant teis needed. They look like the Krome ones??

There's no brand name on em. I bought them a couple years back on kegcowboy.com. the nozzles are stainless steel. The faucet appears to be chrome over stainless for the top. I'm not sure nor did I ever ask these questions when I purchased years ago.

I would check with kegcowboy as to what brand they sell if further explanation is needed.
