I may end up with three of these, in which case one of them would likely be a BK. I'm not that concerned about the metal thickness anyway because It will be an all-electric setup.
The product this was used for was olive oil... but the guy I got it from cleaned it so there isn't a trace left.
 
you can boil the snot out of anything in there... the trouble only starts if you heat with no liquid in it. If you need a test to prove it, take an aluminum soda can, cut the top off, fill with water, turn your biggest baddest burner on high.... it'll be fine till it runs out of water.... then you just have a pool of aluminum.
