Should I plant them in a pot and keep the. In a sun room till spring or just plant them. I live in Georgia Ao the fall and winters are not to cold. We do dip into freezing but not for long periods of time. Falls are pretty mild at least for the last few years anyways. Last winter it didn't get to freezing.

I thought there was only a certain time of year when you could safely harvest rhizomes, is that not necessarily the case?
