Nice kit!

It is really hard to screw up beer. My advice to new brewers is whatever happens during your brew, don't panic and do something stupid. I see it all the time when something goes "wrong" and the brewer will make it much worse by trying to fix a problem which doesn't exist. The old saying "the cure is worse than the ailment" applies.

What kind of beers do you like? There is always a simple brew for whatever style beer you like. Are you planning on steeping grains or a simple canned kit for your first?

Do you have a LHBS or planning on ordering online? Brewers Best or similar kits will make a nice brew and most local places carry it.

You can't go wrong with any kit from Austin Homebrew and they have their Gold Seal Extract Recipe kits that are designed for beginners.

edit: Austin Homebrew instructions tend to be much better than the pre-packaged retail kits.
