Tasting Notes
This was the first brew I made that won anything
4.00 lb Wheat Malt, Ger (2.0 SRM) Grain 34.0 %
3.50 lb Pilsner (2 Row) Bel (2.0 SRM) Grain 29.8 %
3.00 lb Wheat, Flaked (1.6 SRM) Grain 25.5 %
1.00 lb Aromatic Malt (26.0 SRM) Grain 8.5 %
0.25 lb Victory Malt (25.0 SRM) Grain 2.1 %
0.50 oz Cascade [5.50%] (45 min) Hops 8.3 IBU
0.50 oz Cascade [5.50%] (10 min) Hops 3.3 IBU
0.50 oz Coriander Seed (Boil 20.0 min) Misc
0.50 oz Orange Peel, Bitter (Boil 20.0 min) Misc
0.50 oz Orange Peel, Sweet (Boil 20.0 min) Misc

This was the first brew I made that actually won anything. I entered this into a local brew-off that was not an AHA sanctioned brew-off but it won out of 12 brews.

The Orange and Coriander really stand out.

This has turned out to be one of my favorites and also of many that tasted it.

I know this post is old but the recipe interests me. I think its because of the wlp400 being used. However, if you're still around, what was your mash profile?

thanks

Actually, at this time I was mostly batch sparging and did this mash at 154F for 60 min.

Cheers,
Tim
