i recently tried a bottle of fremont pale ale and it reminded me of an Alpine style beer. saw the back of the bottle and it mentions whats in it.

i entered some numbers into brewsmith and was thinking:

10.5 lbs of pale malt
.75 lbs of crystal 20l
.50 vienna
.10 carapils

brings up the gravity to about 1.062

can someone help me with a hop schedule? also thinking about dry hopping this batch

How about

9# 2-row
2# Crystal 20L
.5# Vienna
.5# Carapils

1oz. Citra -30min
1oz. Simcoe-15min
1oz.Citra- 10min
1oz.Simcoe- 5min

Dry Hop as you want? IBU's should be around 70.?. Good luck! :mug:

That hop schedule should be good enough if it gets you around 70. That said, what is this beer like. Is it really bitter? Not so bitter with more flavor and aroma? That schedule is pretty standard but could be adjusted depending on what you want to achieve.

As for the grain bill what you listed is almost 17% crystal. Too high for my tastes. If anything I'd swap the crystal and vienna.

The beer reminded me of something along the lines of hoppy birthday and zombie dust. Not bitter, and really fresh. A lot of flavor. I'm thinking I should mash at medium body. I was surprised when I saw that it was at 70 IBU
