Hi, I'd like to switch to electric but I am noob when it comes to electricity. I'm trying to learn here !

First of all what I want is super simple : One kettle, one element and a way to control the power to the element. It will be used as a boil kettle so I don't need lights or switches I guess.

I believe going with a PID on manual would be the simplest way for me.

I've seen a lot of diagrams here about wiring those things but all of them are for complex systems unlike the one I want. Anyone here have a simple schematic for my idea ?

wow this is quite helpful ! I'd rather have a 120v system too. Thank you very much !
