I got a great deal on 4 ball lock kegs last week. I brought them home, cleaned them up and am looking to get them going. I checked tonight and found out I can fit 3 of the 8 inch kegs in my little kegerator. I could only fit two pin locks, great news!

I have a stout in a pin lock right now, and a lager fermenting in my fridge. Can I depressurize the stout, transfer it to a new ball lock and be OK?

It seems to me there should not be a huge problem in this, but I wanted to ask before I do it.

Thanks.

Sean

Yes you can do it. I usually put some Co2 in the keg I'm transferring to prevent oxidation. But you should be fine.
