WOAH BABY!

Is anyone else seeing this picture?

That is HAWT.....WOW!

I'll probably go with Böttcherstraße Brauerei. Totally about 6,000 miles away from there, but that is my favorite place in the entire world. I used to go there and just sit and think about whatever. Every time I go back to Germany I make it an absolute point to make it there as soon as possible. For anyone unfamiliar, its name means "barrel maker's street" (they used to live there), and it dates back to the Middle Ages, and even has an engraving or two in German so oldschool I have no idea what it's talking about.

Here's the entrance:

not a very good pic, but the inside:

Its really hard to get a pic since the street is so narrow. I'd do anything to be back there right now....

Sadly.. i still can't decide on a name yet :(

any suggestions on how to get the creative juices flowing?... besides :mug: ?? LOL

"Fish + Bird Brewing"

It's a Tom Waits song. 95% of my brews are named after Waits tunes, there's always an evocative turn of phrase that works well. I've sung that song to my daughter prolly nine hundred times, just about every single time I put her to sleep for her first two years.

When she was born, Cassie had a pretty severe heart condition, so we had to spend some time at the big, scary hospital in the pediatric ICU. I'll never forget rocking her to sleep, singing that song, her heart beating at twice the rate it should... not knowing if the medication was going to work or not... not good times, but something that will always stick with me.

That is awesome, I love Tom Waits.

Invitation to the Blues is my fav song of his.

Deadblow Brewing..

I do landscape construction, and one of the tools that I use is called the Dead Blow Hammer, so me and another guy get a big kick out of that name and think that it is the most bad-ass name ever. Not sure which direction I'd like to take the logo, however.

If I have a name, Burner Girl Breweries might be mine, because my girlfriend and I went to Burning Man this year for the first time, and she threw herself into it in a way that made me love her even more. Plus, she helped me clear out space for a brew-closet, and knows how to wield a capper.

Bernerbrau: Berner being my last name, and being a Futurama addict I co-opted Benderbrau (from the episode "The Route of All Evil").

It actually translates directly from German since my last name is German for Bernese (i.e. from Bern, Switzerland, my family's origin). Thus, Bernerbrau (properly umlautted of course) = "Bernese Brew".

Hadn't yet determined a name for our Brewery, but we do have a name for our winery:

"ScottLynn Cellars"

My "Middle Name", Her "Middle Name" and we make it in the "Cellar"

So maybe something like "ScottLynn Brewing" might work.

As for a single label...... Not yet, we use many different styles at this point.

Check our website: "ScottLynn Cellars" It's small, but growing.

Salute! :mug:

I can't figure this out completely due to the fact that I make wine too and haven't labeled that. Sad part is it comes out to being called Matt Wine, which is totally unoriginal and uninspiring. You want another glass of Matt Wine. Sounds like I am reading dialogue from a porn flick...

Thinking Winemaker Brewing, and Winemaker Cellars or something cheeseball like that...Naming is far too difficult.

New Freedom Brewing Co.

My brewery name comes with a double meaning. Much of the industrial/commercial area near me is in the zipcode of New Freedom, PA. I figure if I ever go commercial it will likely be in New Freedom.

The other more important reason comes from the fact that I believe that our military is in the business of maintaining our freedom and that their self-sacrifice renews our freedoms daily. So I will be dedicating each of my brews to them. While I went to a military college I did not graduate from there and never served personally, I have 6 kids the first 4 are grown and the three boys are all currently active duty, and my daughter is an Army wife, her husband is active duty and currently in Iraq. The other two may end up in the military as well, their choice not mine.

My first label

I'm deciding on two different names for my upcoming brewery. Violence Worker Ales after my "nomme de blog" or Pine Street Ales because, well, I live on Pine Street.

Maybe, I'll use both and use the Violence Worker for a hoppy IPA. Seems somehow appropriate

I ended up with "Hilgert Family Brewing"

I originally was going to use "Hilgert Brauerei" to tie into the german heritage, but I figured "Hilgert" already did that :) Additionally I found out from my mother that my father (now deceased) used to homebrew.

So "Hilgert Family Brewing" is a nod to anitquity/lineage and I think in combination with my logo, it engenders the handcrafted, home made with familial pride, classic type of brew that I aspire to create and share.

That's brilliant, I applaud you!

Ya'll,
My brewery is named:
'The Former Pantry Brewery'
because it is 'the former pantry'.
I store pots and pans in piles all over the house,
but I am designing a pot holder which will hang them
from the ceiling in the kitchen.

"THe Brewery"

My initials are TH. My friends call me TH. I have a vanity license plate that just has TH on it. Someone who saw it once asked me, "is that short for 'The Man' or something?" I mentioned that to my buddies and now they call me stuff like "The engineer" or "The brewer", etc. So I thought my brewery should be called THe Brewery.

Boilermaker Brewing

I just purchased Boilermaker Brewing dot com a few weeks ago.

I'm from Kewanee, IL which is the home of the Kewanee Boilermakers and the Kewanee Boiler Mfg. So it only seemed fitting to find a name that involved Boiler and/or Boilermakers into the name.

Now just to find someone with some awesome graphic skills to draw up a label and logo.

The Angel's Share is the amount of alcohol lost from a maturing barrel of whiskey, it just sounds like a great name, so I've called mine the Angel's Share Brewery, and by making beer I'm leaving more whiskey for the angels ;)

I've come up with a basic logo, I'll use this on the neck of my bottles.

Very cool. :rockin:

Grains of Wrath Brewery

After the Bad Religion song, and my wife says's I'm a generally angry person. We haven't brewed yet, but we do have a logo.

Dude,
I was seriously thinking about that for my brewery name, that's great.
Glad to see another BR and Beer lover.

Broke Johny brewing. I got really avid in brewing when I was broke. selling a few bootleg sixers and kegs really helped/Users/kathleenfinn/Desktop/seal-4.gif

Being as I have yet to brew anything (Damn you slow mail) I don't have a solid name. I have a few ideas though:

Pantheon Brewing (I have a fascination with various deities and mythology, thought about giving deity names to my beers)

Elements Brewing

Blue Raven Brewing

Two Ravens Brewing ( Both raven ideas are inspired by Odin and ravens)

Mad Hatter Brewing (This last Halloween I made one hell of a mad hatter outfit... and got quite drunk)

Land Pirate Brewing (Inspired by my skull and crossbones coffee mug)

Drunken Ninja Brewing (Or Bored Ninja... no real story other than I have used bored ninja as a screen name in the past)

Still thinking....

Well my brewery name has been narrowed to two at the moment:
Cellar Door Brewery (not because of JRR Tolkein or Donny Darko, i just like the name.)
or
Arrogant Bastard Brewery

I hope Stone Brewery wouldnt' have a problem with that.

I figure I'll bite...Birchgrove Brewing.

When I was growing up my uncle decided he would research the family history. Well he discovered that when my ancestors came to America our last name was changed to reflect the area in which they settled in Pennslyvania, I believe. Evidently, they choose an area with a large birch population and decided Bjorklund was the best choice. If you punch that into Google Translate the literal translation comes back as birchgrove. So when I started into this hobby, I figured what better way than remember my family as I start to learn something new.
