NB: the recipies need to start with apples not allready brewed cider. any help greatly appreciated.................... thanx

i mean hard cider for all u yanks n that out there, im english u see

Basic hard cider

Grind and squeeze apples, collect juice
Ad lots of sugar to the juice (about 1 cup per quart)
Add yeast to juice
Wait until it stops bubbling
Draw off cider
Freeze
Draw off hard cider (oops, I mean apple jack)

Post a picture when the press is done. No way am I spending $1000 US for a press. Not that the deer and elk left me any apples this year.

Invite me up. I'll take care of those pesky antlered mammals for you. I've not quite had everything come together yet, but I keep striving to cook one meal that is completely stuff I've killed/harvested/made. Wild game, some fresh vegetables and homebrew!
