Hello all,

I recently bottled an IPA (it smells great btw), and as I was transferring from primary to the bottling bucket, I knocked the hose against the bottom and stirred up a ton of crap.

The last time I did this, I kept going and it was a pretty crummy batch. That could have been due to something else, but the important part is this time I stopped, bottled the 3.5 clear gallons I had, and re-sanitized and reattached the fermenter's lid and left it remainder alone.

So I have 1.5 gallons left. Instead of going to the homebrew store to get more priming sugar, can I use a bit of honey to prime it? If so, how much?

Thanks,
Aguirre

Last time I used honey for priming I used 4oz(by weight) for a 5 gal bottling session. So, maybe 1oz? Hope this helps. It did seem to take longer than corn sugar to carbonate the beer though.
