Would adding yeast nutrients to a homebrew batch do anything?
Or is there already more than enough nutrients in the beer?
 
For a typical gravity beer, there is enough nutrients in the wort.

Yeast nutrients is more often used in high gravity beers.
 
certain types of yeast nutrients can add a metallic taste to your beer...usually plain wort has more than enough nutrients for the yeasties as long as you pitch enough!

However, yeast nutrients are recommended for yeast starters since they're growing fast and need lots of vitamins ;)
 
Hi,
As others have said, wort is perfectly balanced for yeast and rarely needs yeast nutrients.

The only two exceptions would be: brews with exceptionally high levels of non-barley adjuncts (50% or more) and also very high gravity brews such as barley wine (though I would recommend a high alcohol tolerant yeast in this case).
