I've been using fermcap with my starters and its awesome. I also used it in a BB with great results, no blow off needed. Now my question is if I add fermcap to the boil do I also need to add it to the BB during fermentation. I assume I won't since it is already in the wort, but just wanted to ask.

Not completely sure, but I usually throw some in my boil and still have a good krausen. I guess I have never just added it to my fermenter so I don't know if the result would be different.

Thanks...I want to use it in the boil cause I'm always flirting with disaster, that is until I build my keggle. How much krausen do you get?

Once the boil is over it will drop out of solution. If you don't transfer absolutely everything from the kettle to the fermenter you will need to add more to the fermenter.

I use it in the boil, and then add again to the fermenter.
