I know this beer is held in pretty low esteem among connoisseurs, but I'd really like to make a batch sort of like this. Sort of biting fresh, with a dry bitterness, and it tastes good ICE cold.

I have several batches of mouthfilling, flavorful beer sitting around, now I want something that tastes like birra peroni.

Are there any recipes out there? I need to make it as an ale.

I had one in an Italian restaurant in Austin recently. I had to pour it in a nearby planter and order a Sierra Nevada. It was badly oxidized and skunked.

Sometimes, the "When in Rome" principle does not apply and with Peroni, that's very true IMHO.
