I'll be up in Portland, ME in a few weeks and am looking for good beer drinking/beer culture suggestions... I'm somewhat familiar with Portland and know Gritty McDuff's fairly well. I've just been given the heads up on a place called Novare Res Novare Res Bier Café : : : Portland Maine Beer Bar which I'm excited to try.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions for good food and/or beer?
 
It's been a while since I've been to Portland drinking but the Great Lost Bear I remember being decent, good food. Although not a brewery, they had a lot of brews on draught.
