Love Belgian brews and I want to get one in the queue. What are your favorite Belgian ale extract recipes? Any suggestions?

PS: I'd prefer a high gravity recipe

Thanks!

I also accidentally made 4 gallons instead of 5. To be perfectly honest, I don't brew scientifically and generally don't take measurements. The tastybrew.com calculator estimates OG at 1.085, FG at 1.021, ABV 8.3% and IBU at 325. This is not a session beer but it is super hoppy and super malty and super extra delicious. The recipe was intended to be 5 gallons. This is one of my first recipes and it is not aiming to imitate a particular beer. Cheers!

Brewed this one 3 1/2 mns ago, flavors really started to come together along with carbonation over the last 2 weeks.

used dry yeast, added sweet orange, and made my own candi sugar

Here is my recipe for a Belgian Double. I was shooting for something like Mardesous.

9 lb Munich Liquid Extract
1 lb Caramunich Malt
1 lb Special B Malt
1 lb Dark Brown Sugar
0.5 lb Light Dry Extract (for 2L yeast starter)
1 oz Goldings, East Kent- 60 min
1 oz Saaz- 5 min
White Labs Belgian Ale Yeast

3.25 gallon boil, 5 gallon batch

Came out to 7.9% alcohol by volume. Is that high enough for you? :drunk:
