Anyone like to play? Home games? Casino cash games? Tournaments?

I've played for years but just entered my first tourney and loved it. Didn't finish in the money, but I made the final table.

I like home games and work games - haven't played any tourneys, but you made the final table but didn't finish in the money???

I'm up to almost 1,000,000 in chips on facebook poker :ban: (little advice for there - don't bluff and when you hit the nutz bet big, the suckers will always pay you off; also, do raise pre-flop with huge hands, some numbnutz will call you with 7/2 and bust you - wait to hit your hand)

EDIT - yes I know you can't cash out your Facebook chips....

I play Texas Hold 'Em... best I've done in a tournament was second in a small tournament in Vegas for a couple hundred. I generally do pretty well in Vegas in non-tournament play though.

We have a riverboat casino nearby, and it's pretty difficult for me to win much there, but in Vegas there's a lot of easy money at the tables.

I used to run work games cash and tourney style. I play online at full tilt. Only claim to fame is winning an omaha hi freeroll they had on full tilt.

I have a private $5 single-table tournament group on ultimate bet.
If anyone is interested in joining, PM me and I'll send you the info.
Also, if anyone is interested but not signed up on ultimate bet, but wants to sign up, please PM me and we can use the "refer a friend" feature and get some extra $.

I'd gladly play Euchre over Poker nowaday..

I was a fairly successful amateur for years, and lived in Las Vegas for a few years as a wannabe Pro. Then the TV shows came..

I don't play poker anymore.

I used to play a bunch back in college but have not really played since then. I have tried to get a game going more recently but because of espn all anyone wants to play is texas hold'em and I hate that game. So I will probably not be playing again till espn takes that crap off the air.

I play :)

havent played many big tournaments since I played the Aussie Millions in Jan 07

Im the guy with all your chips ;)

on this hand i was on small blind bb was short stacked. it folded around to me and i bet 3.5 (BLIND, never looked at my cards) BB pushed andi was pot committed. so i called and told him i hadnt looked at my cards. we both flipped and both had AK. other player is Tim 'tmay420' West.

I play a couple different house games. One is a $20 buy-in, the other is a $40 buy-in, both are just cash games so you can rebuy or leave whenever you want. Every now and then we'll get a hold em' or omaha tourney going which is what I prefer. It's fun to play for cash, but kind of sad when those guys with hardly any money keep rebuying. Well, sad for them anyways...I'm fine with it! :rockin:

The $40 game is a blast, and we have some really good players in there. Some old guys, some young guys, most play at a local card room a few times a month. The $20 game is fun too, but more of a drinking/smoking party than anything else. I've taken $150 or so one night, but usually it's more about hanging out and calling people all in with a pair of deuces. Max bet is $5 on that game, which keeps it friendly and also opens the game to newcomers. Speaking of which...I think it's my time to host :D.

I play a lot, mostly low limit tournaments and sit n' gos online at Pokerstars. Also go to Foxwoods about once a month and play 4-8 Hold'em.

Can't play online for money here. Washington state made it a class C felony. That's at the same level as people who rape children. It's totally insane.

I play the free game on Facebook. Up to about a half mil in a few weeks, but free games with play money aren't much like a real game. People just don't play anywhere near the same way.

Last night I rarely got cards better than Ace-low or a pair of fives. But that's fine. I played the cards they thought I had and did pretty well. :D

I play frequently in live cash games. I don't often play tournaments because it is frustrating for me to play for 8 hours, make the final table, and then only make a few hundred dollars in return. I occasionally play online, but I get easily bored online so I don't enjoy it.

I just went to Vegas last week and there's so much dead money there for the WSOP and ancillary tournaments (like Venetian's Deep Stack tournament) that it is frighteningly easy to beat those games for a handsome profit. The games have swung from being super nitty and easy to steal pots, to being super laggy and easy to get paid off on your big hands.

Are you kidding? WPT brought so much dead money into poker that every +EV player in the world owes them a huge debt of gratitude.

I used to play a good bit, both tourneys and cash games. I actually got pretty good then all the games around me dried up. I miss it.

Yes! My cousin is having a game on the 4th!
Haha! Last time I played with those fools, I'll let them get drunk all day, then took about $750, mostly heads-up against my cousin after he took it all from his friends in their tourneys.
(I had cash game set up for those that got busted out.)

That paid for my trip to LA, and then I made another $300 or so playing $3/6 with drunks at the Commerce at 8 am.

Damn I would really like to get back to CalProg this year.

I just noticed that you're near Tulalip casino. I have played no limit there a couple of times and thought it was a really easy game to beat, and there was a pretty decent number of people playing even though I showed up around 9 or 10pm in the middle of the week. I think there were 3 or 4 tables going and the players in my game were really atrocious.

I'll remember that. I drive by Tulalip and Angel of the Winds every night on my way home from work. I'm playing the cheap tourneys at Angel of the Winds for now, but might slip in for a cash game at Tulalip soon.

I occasionally go to the Mississippi gulf coast and play tournaments & cash games. At one time I played 5 days a week 4-5 hours each day for about 2 years. Got tired of hanging out at casinos with drunk people and/or old people. However I did make a lot of money in that time.

Oh I forgot to mention! I met my wife at a poker table in the casino at around 11pm so I definitely was the big winner.

Played another tournament last night. Full tables so more players than last time. I was doing better than I did last time. Was the chip leader at my table when we were down to three tables... then got my legs chopped out from under me. Pocket jacks and in a pot against a guy that stole the pot by going all in a couple times already. Flop had a pair of tens and he went all in again. I called him, since he was representing trip tens. Turned out he had 'em. Left me with almost nothing.

After a few hands I was down to 800, with a 400 big blind about to hit me on the next hand and I got A7 fo clubs so I had to make my try and went all in. Got two calls, also all in with bigger stacks. One of the guys out of the pot called out the cards as we turned them over. First guy turns "Ace queen!". Second guy turns "Pair of kings!" I turned mine, "Wing and a prayer!". Then the flop comes with no aces, sevens or clubs and the guy says "Yer wing just fell off, son."
