Are you looking to harvest yeast or lengthly secondary? If not, conicals are over rated. If and when I ever get one, it will be made from stainless, obviosly they are much more expensive, but well worth the cost for stainless. A scratched bucket is easier and cheaper to replace than that plastic conical would be. They look cool and probably will work fine, but I wouldn't get one.
 
I just thought it would be be cool to just be able to drain the yeast and automatically be in the secondary. Less transferring of the beer. Thanks for your opinion.
