Hi guys, I'm going to be starting my very first partial-mash and am following thi recipe for a Vanilla Bourbon Winter Ale.

The recipe calls for Rogues Ales Pacman yeast which is not available right now through Wyeast. I would prefer to substitute a more common yeast strain that I can get my hands on at the local brew store.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a substitute besides a yeast that can handle the 1.077 OG?

Thanks a lot!

AHS still has Pacman for sale. I picked up one a week ago.

Excellent, thanks guys; I will probably just go with the American Ale yeast. I will check out starting my own though ;)
