Does anyone happen to know if the standard male flare connections we use on our propane burners at 37 degree flares that would mate up to a female JIC? I have no idea how to figure this one out but need to know for hoses. Thanks in advance!

All flare fittings are not create equal: SAE and AN/JIC fittings are indeed incompatible due to the different flare angles (45° versus 37°). And I thought gas fittings used SAE threads...

Yep - you're right day_trippr. Like he said: SAE - which are what common gas flare fittings are - are 45 degrees. This is what we use. JIC flare fittings are 37 degrees and are not compatible with SAE due to this. So you have to be careful in general that you get the angles right or you'll have a leak situation.
