Just curious what ever one chooses to use for sisal rope diamater.

1/4" tested at 50#
3/8" tested at 105#

Is 50# test enough for a standard hope bine support?

I go with the 3/8" and still have some that barely survive the season. It's not just the hop bine the rope needs to support but also a water soaked hop, winds, and water soaked bines with winds.

I'd actually go with 1/2" if I could get it in something other than 25 foot rolls. i basically use about 450 foot of line per year.

Nylon fishing line, almost invisible - makes people wonder exactly how my hops are growing with nothing holding them up. The bines will wrap around almost anything.

Do most people use a single line or make a split "V" for each plant? I'm considering using a single line that would support my 2 main bines per plant. I think for simplicity this would work best. If is do go this direction I will definitely be using 3/8" sisal.
