How'd you get the Refractometer shot?

I just stuck the Refractometer eye piece over the camera lense and hoped for the best.

How do you prevent scratching the heck out of the inside of you MLT?

When mashing in, I try and set the grain bed and then stir gently to mix in the grain. I don't scrape the MLT with the paddle at all. In fact I rarely even touch the bottom or sides except to smash up the occasional dough ball.

Yes, a 10 gallon batch of Imperial IPA. 30 lbs of grain.

Hey when are you going to come back over and brew with us?
