I use it and love it.
You need to use the ones with the folding blades if you are planning to ferment in carboys, but other than that, you can buy them in most homebrewshops. There's a lot of folks who use it.

I just rigged up a wort aeration kit from a cheap Home Depot welding kit & an oxygen canister.
