Hey Guys,

So I want to make a cherry wheat. For the cherry flavor I was planning on using maraschino cherry juice (either in secondary or add it to each bottle when I actually bottle the beer).

I was doing some research online and have read multiple comments saying cherry puree is better. Something like:

What do you guys think would give the beer a better flavor?

That looks like it would be perfect to add to secondary. You should retain more of the cherry taste that way at least. Just make sure to give it plenty of time to work down all of the new sugars if you plan on bottling.

I have been thinking about doing his for awhile. I'm one of the very few fans of the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. I would love to hear how this turns out.

How much cherry will you be adding?
