Picked up a turkey fryer with 30 (I think) qt aluminum pot from Bass Pro today for $39.99 (43.73 with tax)!!! Should have bought 2. The regular price is $79.99 so it was basically buy one get one free.

Sale is going on for a while.
 
It's got the safety timer so anyone buying this for beer needs to defeat that I would assume.

My buddy just got a turkey fryer kit and the timer, although a hassle, was easily rendered useless by clamping a set of locking pliers on the timer knob and weighing it down.
 
Yea, I noticed that when I took it out of the box. I already had one but figured for that price, I should have another. Could have started on a crappy brew stand if I had 3. May go grab another tonight.

There are threads about how to defeat the timer.
