Hopfest!

Conzellas Farm is harvesting their Cascade hops this weekend and are looking for people to help out.

There will be local beers served and a light lunch.

They will be doing it from 9-5 both Saturday and Sunday. They are located about 1/4 to 1/2 mile east of Wading River Rd on the north side of RT 25a. Right across from CVS.

I will most likely be going on Saturday morning. I will be the guy with the green and white Blue Point Brewery hat on.

It was a pretty good time. I met some homebrewers and picked a ton of hops.

The hops are going, mostly, to Port Jeff Brewing Company and also Captain Lawrence.

Damn. Shame I missed this! I live right in Rocky Point and would loved to have checked it out. Has all of the crop been picked?
