Hey everyone,

I'm somewhat new to homebrewing. I just started all grain brewing and have been having a lot of fun with it. I've been drinking beers such as dogfish head and have been curious as to when they add these strange ingredients. If I were to try adding things such as honey or a tiny bit of fresh fruit to a beer, when would the best time to add it be? Mash, kettle or during fermentation?

Cheers to Beers

Most additions can be made wherever you'd like, but it really depends on your preference. I prefer to add most things to the secondary since the aroma and flavor seems to stay intact better. When I'm adding coffee or chocolate, I add half at flameout and half to the secondary.
