How about posting the recipe you were planning on using. That would help us out, your post is a little vague.

I went to LHBS store and the shelves were pretty empty. I was going for the Thunderstruck Pumpkin ale and here is what he came up with.

6 lbs muntonss hopped light DME
1 lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 90L
8.0 oz Biscuit Malt
4.0 oz Wheat, Flaked
60.00 oz Pumpkin, Canned (Boil 60.0 min)
0.25 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 min)
1 Pkgs wyeast 1028 London

Only one way to tell how it would work; do it. I would add some aroma hops just because canned pre-hopped doesn't have much aroma.

6.25 lbs light DME
1 lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L
8.0 oz Biscuit Malt
4.0 oz Wheat, Flaked
60.00 oz Pumpkin, Canned (Boil 60.0 min)
.75 oz Goldings (5.0% AA 60.0 min) 13 IBU
0.25 tsp Irish Moss (Boil 10.0 min)
1 Pkgs English Ale (White Labs #WLP002) or Fermentis S-04

There are no finishing hops anyways?
