Anyone try adding chocolate to this kit? I've been searching through posts and it seems like a couple guys tried it, but they never posted any of their results. I have ordered the kit and I'm wondering if I should go the normal route and follow the instructions or try something cool.

Have you had beers with chocolate in them? I love them, but some people don't. If you do, add 8oz unsweetened cocoa powder to the last couple minutes of the boil. Raspberry chocolate sounds mighty fine to me!!!

I actually haven't yet had any beers with actual chocolate in it, but the chocolate raspberry combo sounds too goo to resist.

I added chocolate and raspberries to the regular AHS kit for my Christmas brew and it turned out great, people really liked it. My only complaint was that the chocolate was a bit of a mess to deal with and didn't really add all that much to the overall flavor of the beer. There are definitely alternatives to using cocoa powder, but I have yet to try any of them.

Well, I just finished brewing it up. I decided to forget about the chocolate in the boil. Maybe I'll add some small amount of cocoa to the secondary with the raspberry extract. Thanks for the opinions, guys.
