Believe it or not, even when you ask a question you are contributing. Chances are there's another new guy/gal reading your thread question who doesn't know the answer.:D

Welcome, friend! Are you thinking of brewing cider first? I am just about to try my first cider, too. It seems harder than ale--which is pretty simple--but the results could be great! Good luck.
