Hey guys, I'm trying to post some recipes in the recipe db. I've got several in beersmith right now that I would like to post here, but the formatting is giving me fits. It looks great in the editor when I copy it, but when I post or preview, it's all jacked up.

I've tried the export feature, but it's always with html tags, and I haven't figured out how to get that to work (if it can).

Anyone had success and willing to share the secret?

Did anyone answer you on this? I would like to know how so after I try this beer I can post a recipe in the database. I am also looking for how you post the text to a thread without the whole jumbled up info thing going on. Sometimes I just wish it was as easy as cut and paste.

If it is generating text formatted blocks (without html code) you can wrap it in {code}{/code} (replace { } with [ ]) and that will output in a fixed width font.

This recipe thread is an example of the look (mine is a promash export).

Let me try,

If Beersmith is generating html I doubt you will have much luck, I imagine the forum entry boxes strip it all out to prevent malicious code from being posted. If they have some kind of plain text export that should work.

Try again,

Recipe: #1 The Big Lebowski
Brewer: John Lowry
Asst Brewer: Abby
Style: American Wheat or Rye Beer
TYPE: All Grain
Taste: (45.0) Wonderful beer, has a slightly twangy taste due to the hot ferment and rye. Tang went away and is now very pleasant and slightly spicy.
