Ok so I'm about to embark on the home grown hop journey but don't want a ton of different kinds to keep up with and store. I'm thinking 3 varieties. Here's what I need.

One hop for basic pale ales, I brew Ed's Haus Pale ale quite a bit. I'm thinking Cascade is the easy choice here.

One hop good for lagers.

One more just to have variety.

I brew mainly basic session beers (pale ales, ambers, wits, basic lagers) but would be nice if the hops could be used on other styles like IPA's and stouts.

A clean bittering hop, Cascade or Centennial and Northern Brewer.

I think this thread topic was going on the other day but I'll bite.

Cascade for pales.
Saaz for Belgian witbiers.
Fuggles for English ales.

3 of my favorite styles with my 3 favorite hops for those styles.

Magnum

Amarillo

Centennial

Oh, who am I kidding... This is too difficult!!

Amarillo for America PAs and IPAs
hallertau mittelfrüh for German style lagers
Fuggles for ESBs, Porters and Stouts

Cascade for Americans, Saaz for Germans, and Warrior or something strong for bittering. I had 2 vines last summer, hope to have 4 more this summer...on order.
