I'm wanting to attempt Yoopers "Fizzy Yellow Beer" but as a partial mash. Is the conversion that BeerSmith popped out a good one or would anyone tweak anything? Never used BS for an AG to partial conversion before.

Original:
7 lbs Vienna Malt (3.5 SRM) Grain 70.00 %
3 lbs Pilsner (2 Row) UK (1.0 SRM) Grain 30.00 %
0.50 oz Pearle [8.40 %] (60 min) Hops 14.4 IBU
0.50 oz Tettnang [4.20 %] (45 min) Hops 6.6 IBU
0.50 oz Tettnang [4.20 %] (0 min) Hops -
1 Pkgs Safale US-05 (Fermentis #US-05) Yeast-Ale

Conversion:
12.0 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM)
12.0 oz Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM)
8.0 oz Roasted Barley (300.0 SRM)
4 lbs 8.0 oz Amber Dry Extract (12.5 SRM)
1 lbs 8.0 oz Wheat Dry Extract (8.0 SRM)
0.75 oz Magnum [14.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min
1.00 Items Whirlfloc Tablet (Boil 10.0 mins)
0.50 lb Lactose (Boil 10.0 mins)
1.0 pkg Wyeast (Wyeast Labs #1450)

Thanks!

what is beersmith is smoking? :fro:
2lbs of dark/roasted grains and wheat extract to replicate a light clear beer. No base malt for the partial mash

mash
1.5lb vienna
.5 pilsner

5-6lbs lightest extract possible
same yeast and hop scedule

you'd be a lot closer than the wheat stout.

What a weird "conversion". Vienna can be used as a base malt, so you don't need to sub that at all.

4.25 lb pilsner DME
4lb Vienna to mash
Hop schedule and yeast as original

You can add most/all of the DME at the end to keep the color light.

Here's a thought op. Did you pick a style of beer close to her recipe in beersmith? That could be part of the problem...

It's entirely possible. I've never used beersmith before much less done the conversion so...learning curve.
