Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with using wlp 007 for hoppy American beers to get a clean fermentation profile. What temperature would you guys recommend me to ferment an APA at?

I just used it for an American IPA (1.065 OG) scored a 44 in a BJCP comp. It works just fine for American beers =)

IME this strain ferments way low - if you want a little body you may want to mash a little higher than normal

it's supposedly the house strain at Stone

For a pale ale, this is a good thing to consider. For bigger ipas, the higher attenuation can be desirable, but I agree it might dry out a typical pale ale too much.
