^^^ Love that color and style. Wish I had something like that to restore. Looks amazing.

Just finished this thing. Just wish I had something kegged to throw in it. :( Might have to do a root beer batch tomorrow to get some "Beer" flowing.

Just got the Kegs, regulator and lines in from KegConnection. Got to get it hooked up this weekend, and it will be a while before I trade out the picnic taps for through the door Perlicks.

It hold 4 Kegs, with Room for the CO2 and a 12 back or so of bottles. Best of all it is SWMBO approved :)

JeepDriver,

You can't just post a stainless steel behemoth like that and not give the back story on where you picked it up......store bought, craigslist, etc???? Oh yeah...nice setup, even without the Perlicks. :mug:

Cheers

Well it wasn't a super deal but not bad. Original plan back in Dec was to just get a Chest Freezer and make a keezer, but SWMBO vetoed that Idea and said she wanted something that would look good, when/if we ever get the kitchenette put in the basement.

So 4 months later, with an additional boost to the budget approved for better looking fridge, I found this one for $850 at Sears Outlet. It has a few dings but nothing major. The orginal price was about $2400. Way more than I wanted to spend on it, but it keeps SWMBO happy and gives me room for 4 pin-locks (could probably squeeze 5 ball locks in) It also gives us some much needed additonal household Freezer space.

Only one tap right now, but expansion hole drilled for the second. Need to upgrade to perlicks, but all in all, the wife is letting me keep it upstairs!

Hey all (first post on these forums),

I'm embarking on my keezer build. As you can see I'm taking some of my construction cues off Amiaji's build.

One question I have is: do you recommend making a collar for the existing lid or simply building a new wooden lid and insulating it appropriately?

Hey you guys, thanks for the repplies. Here are some more images for you:

You can see these and some more (not kegerator specific though) at our FB page https://www.facebook.com/CerveceriaKudos

The top on the front one is Granite, the back is all wood in two sections, top part is painted with chalboard paint for labeling and well, it just looks good.. ;)

I'll get some more pictures up with the permanent taps. I have the sketchup file I made for these as well if anyone is interested..

Is that beatiful red in the pictures your strawberry wheat? if so, it looks amazing and probably taste even better! :rockin:

It is our strawberry wheat! It tasted great indeed, surprisingly (for me at least) it was the first beer we ran out of, I made it with women in mind but the guys didn't think twice before chugging it down!

So I think I have posted on the forum here all of one or two times. I mainly use it for information. I have looked through all 354 pages of this keggerator post though and I was inspired to say the least. I started my keezer about 2 weeks ago and finally have a finished product along with my fermenting fridge. I went with a car theme. The grille and door handles are all from my 67' Camaro that is currently in the shop getting painted. I put some new handles and grille on the car and used the old ones for the keezer build. Here you go, hope you like them.

The gauges are fully functional and show the inside keezer temp and the CO2 line pressure(I'm currently carbing an Alaskan Amber Clone)

^^ Thanks!

I actually went through grade school(k-8) in Green River, southwest corner. I ended up looking at all of the 67 plates from the places I have lived and Wyoming definately had the best looking plate.

sorry for the crappy pic, but getting it sealed in and a shelving system built for it

Love it! Using the boost gauge is a great idea. Oh, badass car too :rockin:
I would trade my 04 gto for one of those anyday!

Thanks everyone. That's exactly what I was shooting for something that was personalized and showed my intrests. The car, its a whole different story on a whole different forum. Thanks for the props.

Wow that is sweet. I was going to do lights on the collar on mine with the Japenese scripts for strength and honor but I backed out of the idea. Very nice. Good work.

Ah, the mystery behind what's being dispensed by those taps... cold... delicious... home-brewed.

I'll probably dream about those pictures tonight. :)

Looks nice, man.

Well done scruggs, I like the repurposing of the parts. 67' Camaro is my dream car, I'm filled with envy right now.

Agreed, that is awesome. My brother had a 68 when we were younger and I always wanted it (never got it).

I especially liked this little gem buried in between the pics:

This is made from an old wine barrel, which I happen to have a ton of. My friend is an ac/refrigeration tech and this was our first try at kegerators. Probably going to make more since it looks so rad!

That's pretty slick. Can you show us the inner workings?
