So I just bottled my first batch and I have a question. I put the bottles in a storage cubby area in my daughters room. It's very dark in there but also a bit chilly, is this a problem ? Is there a certain temperature they should be stored at in this stage, and if it turns out its too cold is it too late ?

Normally a 70 degree room would be ideal. I store mine at room temperature and since I live in Florida, that is 75-76 degrees. Anything in that area should be fine.

Colder is ok, it will just take longer to carb and condition. Just don't go so cold the yeast go to sleep.

How cold is "chilly"? As stated before 70 is the general temp. Colder just slows thing up. Three weeks is about right at 70.

Storing much cooler than 70F didn't allow my beers to carb very well at all. I put mine in the master bedroom where it's above 70F to condition.
