So I just ordered a packet of Wyeast 3068......

After suing this for cider...how do I re-use it?

Do a search on HBT for yeast washing. There is a thread with pictures and a description. I just used 3068 for the first time and it is fermenting like crazy. Make sure and use a blow off.

I EARNESTLY WARN you against doing that...

If you were making the same recipe I would recommend re-using it, but since it's not the same some of the characteristics of the cider will show up in the beer.

I even washed it and the flavor was adversely affected.

Trust me on this one. I know it from experience.

Use a new yeast for your next batch and you'll thank me for it. ;)

I would follow homebrewer99's advice if you were planning on reusing this yeast on a beer.

If you were planning on using it for another cider, then I don't see any reason why you couldn't reuse it.

I reused some 3068 that I used on a cider, on a wit, and it tasted fine. You probably didn't wash it well enough if you're getting cidery tastes.
