I gave my wife a comercial Porter and her first reaction was this is not as good as yours. While I am by no means a great brewer, and my wife not a huge beer drinler, it was still very nice to hear.

Yes sir! That is the ultimate nod of approval. I think Swmbo hussled me when she said " this cider is good, but...I bet you could make a better one". ha, at first she had me ( and a designated carboy) just in her style. Now, oh no that's her 1 gallon recipe and " when can I do a 5 gallon batch"

I am looking at trying a pear cider for my wife. Got to find a good recipe first. I figure if she likes to drink some of what I make she will be more abt not to complain about the time and money I spend.
